For Black Horizon Design.

Speed paint version of Old Variterra - one of the old cities after it was destroyed.

idea came from listening to Another Angel Down by Avantasia - the line 'So you're an angel left to walk down here...' was my inspiration for this piece.

Plan to do a more in depth version of this later on but workin commission so time is limited.

1 1/2 to 2 hours in PS CS3

It was a matte painting but well most of the photo got destroyed as I painted my own stuff over it and I think all that is left of the photo is the perspective :P

I hope to work into it more.. keep some of the sketchyness but just make it more finished - this is a severely shrunk version of the original canvas. hehe.

you never cease to amaze me with these. I love the watercolor feel of the piece. I wish I could give some criticism, but I find it hard to, it seems that you accomplish exactly what you set out to do. I'm really enjoying the work from your Black Horizon project.
