This is a sketch I made from a photo reference (shown in the top left) of Roy Khan the vocalist of the band Kamelot.

The photo was taken by somebody else.. I cannot credit the owner as I dont know who it is.. but its not mine.

I drew this from the photo using no grids only hand eye coord'. I am not sure I replicated his face very well though at one point he looked more like a monkey.. I hope the shading.. however quick.. was enough to make him look more like himself again.

thanki... i wasnt gonna cross hatch him but the shading wasnt going at all well... so i used cross as a last resort.. glad I did now :)

I agree with James, the crosshatching works well - odd how cross hatching makes a life drawing look more like a life drawing :D Looks like Roy to me, see I was right when I said he has a very "drawable" face hehe.

indeedy... and that is 100% why I drew him and not at all because he looks rather nice :P I likes to cross hatch I may do some more with those who knows... thanks for saying he looks like himself.. rather than the monkey I made him look like while I was working on the pic :P
